Couldn't recommend more for a holiday
Charming accommodation, delightful atmosphere with warm hosts, providing a complimentary drink and lovely biscuits upon arrival alongside a beautiful, comforting room fitted with a flat-screen TV and electric kettle, perfect for relaxing after easy access to local attractions within a short drive.
Everything was as expected.

the towels were absolutely tiny, like dish rags really. and while the breakfast room was 'quiet', it felt more like a library—we were whispering to talk! I expected top-shelf service, yet all I got was a standard room with no welcome gift. I almost thought about giving a good review but just couldn’t.

Enjoyed a stunning dining room with stream view.
I was extremely disappointed by the lack of attention to detail in the room. The towels were smaller than what I expected for a place of this quality, which was frustrating. the breakfast area felt a bit too quiet, which made it uncomfortable to enjoy the meal fully and mingle with other guests.

fantastic stay with easy access to local attractions
I had a lovely stay at this charming hotel, where the owners provided us with coffee in the communal lounge while we awaited our spacious ground floor room, and enjoying a delicious breakfast cooked to order was a highlight of our mornings. additionally, the park views and charming courtyard seating made it a peaceful spot to unwind after exploring nearby attractions like the Ryedale Folk Museum, just over 4 km away, and St Gregory's Minster, around 2.5 km from the hotel, perfect for leisurely strolls through the countryside.

Absolutely loved the hearty breakfast with a selection that left us spoilt for choice, especially those poached eggs! We also appreciated the warm welcome with tea and biscuits, making us feel right at home in this charming setting.
While the bathroom could use a touch of extra sparkle, everything else seemed to shine brightly in this fantastic stay.

Had a lovely stay at The Cornmill! Our room was spacious and super comfy, with a huge bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices—those poached plums were a treat! Only downside, the towels could be larger. Will definitely be back!

The Cornmill offers an exceptional stay with delightful personal touches. The welcome with tea and biscuits set a warm tone right away. My room had a tasteful decor and a comfy bed, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring local attractions. The sizable bathroom came equipped with all necessary amenities. Breakfast stole the show, featuring a broad selection with beautifully cooked dishes served in a stunning dining room overlooking the original mill. Appreciated the excellent poached eggs and the use of local ingredients. A slight drawback was the limited wardrobe space in my room, which made it a bit tricky to organize my belongings. everything else made up for it, and I left feeling rejuvenated.

this place is super cozy and comfy, the room was big and had all the goodies like a hair dryer and a tea tray. breakfast was amazin, the eggs were poached to perfection and served in a really cool dining room with a glass floor to see the old mill beneath! the location is great for walkin into kirkbymoorside for meals. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. we even got tea when we arrived, which was a nice touch!
the walk to town is a bit far at night and some rooms could use extra soundproofing.
